Coat wings in egg and flour, bake in tangy soy, sugar, vinegar sauce. Perfect for potlucks.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 0.75 cup oil for frying
  • 0.25 cup margarine
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons monosodium glutamate (MSG)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • First, transfer the beaten egg into a shallow dish and the flour into another. Next, heat oil and margarine in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Then, coat the wings in egg followed by flour and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Place the crispy wings in an 11x14 inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, and MSG in a small bowl until well combined. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  • Roast in the oven already warmed up for 60 minutes.
