Transform cake mix into a delectable dessert with banana pudding-filled holes.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
  • 20 vanilla wafers, crushed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil in a bowl until just moistened, then pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 34 to 38 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool in the baking dish for 2 to 3 minutes, then use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes through the cake.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix until velvety. Allow the pudding to lightly thicken for about 2 minutes. Pour the pudding over the cake, ensuring every hole is filled. Refrigerate the cake until cold and the pudding is firm, approximately 2 hours.
  • Before serving, generously slather the luscious whipped topping over the cake and generously sprinkle on the crushed vanilla wafers for an extra touch of decadence.
