Irresistible breakfast pita pizza with flavorful sausage topping - perfect for everyone from kids to parents. Easy to make and quick to bake, it's a crowd favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 3 links Smithfield® breakfast sausage
  • 0.25 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 pita bread rounds
  • 0.5 tomato, chopped
  • 0.5 cup chopped spinach
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Brown Smithfield® breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up and flipping occasionally, until evenly cooked for about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Sauté the onion in the skillet until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a skillet, warm olive oil, then add eggs. Cook, stirring occasionally, until eggs are set, for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Lay out pita bread on a baking sheet. Add sausage, scrambled eggs, tomato, and spinach on top. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted, approximately 10 minutes. When ready, serve the dish topped with fresh avocado slices for an extra touch of flavor.
