Indulgent beer soup with rich creaminess and savory bacon crumbles, ideal for game day or a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 onion, minced
  • 0.5 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 8 ounces processed cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup beer
  • 0.25 cup crumbled cooked bacon
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it's bubbling and fragrant. Stir in the onion and garlic until they're softened. Sprinkle in the flour and blend it in smoothly. Slowly whisk in the milk to avoid lumps, and continue stirring until the mixture thickens, around 10 minutes.
  • Simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the cheese, bacon, and beer until the cheese is melted and the soup is smooth.
