Indulgent chocolate frosting made by blending melted chocolate, sour cream, and powdered sugar - effortlessly delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces (227 g) semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup (225 g) sour cream, left at room temperature for 20 minutes
  • 3/4 cup (95 g) powdered sugar, sifted into a bowl
  • Pinch salt
Instructions:
  • To melt the chocolate, place the 8 ounces of semisweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of hot water. Stir occasionally with a silicone spatula until fully melted. Remove from heat, wipe the bottom dry, and let cool for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Slowly incorporate the room temperature sour cream into the mixture, stirring continuously with a rubber spatula.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, followed by the vanilla and salt. Stir until the frosting is smooth and thick. Use immediately to frost your cake or cupcakes. Store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for several days.
