Make quick and easy snickerdoodles using Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix - just roll dough in cinnamon sugar and decorate with red and green icing for festive Christmas cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for drop cookies
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Betty Crocker™ red and green decorating icings, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, softened butter, and egg in a large bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 36 (1 1/4-inch) balls. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Coat the balls in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place the balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Any extra sugar-cinnamon mixture can be discarded.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are set. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a cooling rack. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes. Decorate with icing as desired. Store cookies in an airtight container. If using icing, let it set completely before storing the cookies in a single layer.
