Easy Easter Basket Cupcakes

Easter-themed cupcakes with candy decorations resembling mini baskets.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package Betty Crocker™ No Fade™ Easter paper baking cups
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 2 cans (8.4 oz each) Betty Crocker™ cloud white decorating cupcake icing
  • 2 tablespoons Betty Crocker™ decorating decors pastel green sugar
  • 1 bottle Betty Crocker™ decorating decors pastel sequins or other pastel decors
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare the cake mix as instructed on the box to make 24 cupcakes. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Pipe the cupcake icing on top of each cupcake using a star tip, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the cupcakes with green sugar.
  • Pipe two layers of icing in a circular motion on top of each cupcake to create a nest. Fill each nest with approximately 1/2 teaspoon of pastel sequins and sprinkle extra sequins around the nest.
