Wholesome egg drop soup: light, comforting remedy for ailing days.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (49.5 fluid ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 0.33333334326744 cup cold water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, simmer chicken broth on medium-high heat and add green onions.
  • Whisk together 1/3 cup of cold water, cornstarch, soy sauce, and sugar until smooth. Pour the mixture into the broth, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1 minute. Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • In a small bowl, vigorously blend eggs with 2 tablespoons of cold water using a fork. Slowly pour the egg mixture from the fork into the hot broth. Take the soup off the heat and serve promptly.
