Quick and easy egg drop soup with sesame oil and soy sauce, ready in 10 minutes - faster than takeout!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 drop yellow food coloring
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Assemble all your ingredients.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil until it boils.
  • Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl until cornstarch dissolves, then add to boiling broth. Mix in food coloring.
  • Gradually add the beaten egg while stirring continuously; season with white pepper and salt.
  • Garnish with fresh chives and serve hot. Enjoy!
