Quick and delicious funnel cake recipe using pancake-like batter.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1.3333333730698 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 0.25 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting
Instructions:
  • Heat a heavy pan with 1-inch-deep oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk, then sift in flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Mix until smooth.
  • Using a funnel, gently pour the batter in a circular motion into the hot oil to create a spiral shape. Fry until the bottom is a beautiful golden brown, then flip and cook until both sides are perfectly golden. Drain on paper towels and repeat with the rest of the batter.
  • Dust warm cakes with powdered sugar.
