Summery lemon sheet cake with lemony goodness and creamy frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
  • 1 (22 ounce) can lemon pie filling
  • 2.5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 lemon, zested
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect temperature to start creating your culinary masterpiece.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat eggs in a bowl until light yellow in color, for about 30 seconds. Add lemon cake mix and beat until fully combined. Gently fold in lemon pie filling until well blended. Spread the batter evenly onto an 11x17-inch rimmed baking sheet.
  • Place in the oven that's been preheated until the mixture is firm, which takes around 20 minutes. Allow it to cool entirely.
  • In a bowl, blend confectioners' sugar, cream cheese, and butter until smooth. Mix in vanilla. Spread the frosting on the cooled cake, then sprinkle lemon zest on top.
