Indulgent homemade cheesecake with buttery crust, featuring cornstarch for a flawless finish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 pounds cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) for perfect baking results.
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl until evenly mixed. Press the mixture firmly onto the bottom of a 9- or 10-inch springform pan. Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  • Using an electric mixer, blend cream cheese and the rest of the sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla, mixing until just combined. Fold in sour cream until well blended, then pour into the crust.
  • Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. After baking, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake sit with the door ajar for 3 hours. Chill in the refrigerator until completely cool before slicing. Top with your favorite garnish before serving.
