Creamy Navy-style macaroni and cheese inspired by USS Enterprise.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 8 ounces processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), cubed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup crushed saltine crackers
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • 1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add macaroni and boil until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain. 2. Combine cooked macaroni with processed cheese cubes, Cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, milk, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. 3. Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with buttered cracker crumbs. 4. Cover with foil and bake.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly, about 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake until crumbs turn golden brown, for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
