Crispy pumpkin turnovers with warming cinnamon and spices, made effortlessly with puff pastry.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  • Combine pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl.
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets into 12x12-inch squares, then cut each sheet into nine 4-inch squares.
  • Place a dollop of the pumpkin mixture in the center of each pastry square. Moisten the edges of the square with water, then fold it over diagonally, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Transfer the filled pastries onto the baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden brown. Let it cool on the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
