Effortlessly prepare yeast bread ahead of time. Transform into delectable cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 cups self-rising flour
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, gently melt the margarine with water on low heat. Once the margarine has melted, take the pan off the heat and mix in the salt and 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Combine yeast, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 cup warm water in a small bowl. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes until creamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the yeast and margarine mixtures. Add beaten eggs and 2 cups of self-rising flour. Incorporate the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, until a firm dough forms. Divide the dough in half and place each piece in well-oiled freezer bags. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
  • Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Divide it into pieces and shape each into 2-inch balls. Arrange the balls in lightly oiled baking pans, ensuring they are touching at the edges. Cover and allow them to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, approximately 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake the dough balls for 15 minutes until they are beautifully golden brown.
