Elevate slow cooker corned beef with flavorful sauerkraut, brown mustard - perfect for dinner or sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) corned beef brisket
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (32 ounce) package sauerkraut
  • 0.75 cup beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons brown mustard
Instructions:
  • Trim any excess fat from the corned beef, then place it in a spacious slow cooker where the brisket can lie almost flat at the bottom. Layer the onion on top of the beef.
  • After draining the sauerkraut, layer it on top of the onion. Combine the broth and mustard, then pour the mixture over everything in the slow cooker.
  • Slow cook until the brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender, typically 7 to 9 hours. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness - it should register 160 degrees F (71 degrees C) in the center.
