Easy tomato sauce

Quick and easy pasta sauce that cooks in the time it takes to boil pasta. Serves 2, easily adjustable. Pair with your favorite pasta shape or try making fresh pasta using just flour and water. Enjoy a simple and delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 x 400 g tin of good quality plum tomatoes
  • optional: extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
  • Peel and finely slice the garlic, then sauté in a non-stick frying pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil until lightly golden. Add the tomatoes, crush them by hand or break them up with a wooden spoon. Simmer on low heat while the pasta cooks. Transfer cooked pasta directly into the sauce using tongs, adding a splash of cooking water. Toss well over heat, then serve with a final drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
