Creamy tuna penne bake with Parmesan: Easy, comforting midweek dinner option.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14.6 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.25 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an oven-proof baking dish.
  • 1. Boil a large pot of lightly salted water. Add penne and cook for about 11 minutes until al dente. Drain pasta and toss with olive oil.
  • Once pasta is boiling, melt butter in a big saucepan at medium heat. Sauté onion until tender for 5 minutes. Stir in tuna and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Pour in heavy cream; season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix in penne until well-coated. Transfer to baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before baking.
  • Bake until the top turns a gorgeous golden brown, approximately 15 to 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
