Easy and delicious tuna pasta bake - perfect for a kid-friendly meal!
Ingredients:
  • 400g shell or spiral pasta
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 44.40 gm tomato paste
  • 300ml cream
  • 82.50 ml fresh herbs eg. parsley, chives, basil, thyme
  • 2 x 190g can tuna in oil
  • 120g tasty cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  • Boil the pasta in a large saucepan of salted water according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and transfer back to the pan.
  • In a deep non-stick frying pan over medium heat, sauté the onion in a drizzle of oil until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cream, mix well. Toss in the pasta, herbs, tuna, and season generously with salt and cracked black pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into a large oven-safe dish or 4 individual oven-safe dishes, then generously sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake until golden on top, then allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving with a side of a fresh salad.
