Quick and tasty venison stew made with canned tomatoes and mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 pound venison, cut into strips
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried sage
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried tarragon
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add venison and cook until browned. Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms, thyme, sage, tarragon, and salt.
  • Simmer the stew with the skillet covered until the venison is tender, which usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes.
