Sweet and tangy pork sandwich filling made effortlessly in a slow cooker - a family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 4.5 pounds bone-in pork loin end roast
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.75 cup cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 (18 ounce) bottle hickory brown sugar barbeque sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Layer the slow cooker with onions, then generously season the pork with salt and pepper before placing it on top of the onions. Finally, pour in the vinegar and water.
  • After cooking the pork on Low for 8 hours, transfer it to a platter and shred it using two forks. Drain about half of the pork juices from the slow cooker, then mix in the shredded pork, barbeque sauce, and brown sugar.
