Classic egg custard pie with a rich, dense custard flavored with milk and flour.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 large eggs
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
  • Place the pie crust in the preheated oven and bake until partially baked, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, blend together sugar, milk, melted butter, flour, vanilla, and nutmeg until smooth. Add eggs and mix until fully incorporated. Pour the delicious filling into the partially baked pie crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Be careful not to overbake.
