Vegan chocolate chip cake made with simple ingredients for a delicious one-bowl dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and generously coat an 8x8-inch baking pan with a slick layer of grease.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Add oil, vinegar, and vanilla, stirring until evenly mixed. Pour in cold water and mix until batter is smooth. Gently fold in chocolate chips before pouring the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 30-35 minutes. Then, cool on a wire rack.
