Delicious low-fat oatmeal cookies with applesauce, rolled oats, raisins, and nuts, for a moist and flavorful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup applesauce
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give those cookie sheets a gentle grease.
  • Combine applesauce, brown sugar, and white sugar in a bowl. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon, then stir into the applesauce mixture. If desired, mix in rolled oats, raisins, and chopped nuts. Once combined, drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until edges are golden. Let the cookies cool a bit before transferring from the baking sheet.
