Create a stunning fig appetizer with creamy goat cheese, crunchy almonds, sweet honey, and tangy balsamic. Top figs in a circle for a beautiful floral look - perfect for elegant gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 12 fresh figs, halved
  • 4 ounces herbed goat cheese (chevre)
  • 24 almonds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the broiler on high heat in the oven.
  • Arrange the fig halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Spoon approximately 1/2 teaspoon of goat cheese onto each fig. Press one almond onto each fig, gently pushing the cheese into the fig.
  • Broil the figs until the cheese is gooey and the almonds are golden brown, for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, let them cool for 5 minutes before arranging on a platter. Finish with a drizzle of honey and balsamic vinegar before serving warm.
