Savory soy-garlic marinade with Worcestershire and lemon juice for grilling elk steak.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1.5 pounds elk steak
Instructions:
  • Combine canola oil, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  • Place the elk steak in a spacious resealable bag, pour in the Worcestershire mixture, and ensure the steak is evenly coated. Remove any excess air from the bag and seal it tightly. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, remembering to turn the bag occasionally.
  • Heat up the grill until it reaches medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Remove excess marinade from the steak.
  • Grill steaks until they are firm, hot, and slightly pink inside, about 5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches at least 140°F (60°C) when measured with an instant-read thermometer.
