Indulge in rich and creamy peanut butter fudge made the old-fashioned way for a truly satisfying treat.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 2.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
  • Coat a 9x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, combine evaporated milk and sugar over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the syrup reaches 234 degrees F (110 degrees C), about 5 to 7 minutes. To test for readiness, drop a small amount of hot syrup into cold water - it should form a soft ball of candy.
  • Take the mixture off the stove and swiftly incorporate peanut butter, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously until the fudge is velvety and dense. Transfer the fudge into the pan. Allow it to cool before cutting into squares.
