Italian-style quick and easy bean recipe inspired by slow-cooked traditional method.
Ingredients:
  • 60ml olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 6 fresh sage leaves
  • 500g canned cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
  • 300g tomato passata
  • 22.20 gm tomato paste
  • 5.00 gm caster sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large frypan, warm up the olive oil, then toss in garlic, sage, cannellini beans, passata, tomato paste, sugar, and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer ingredients for 20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a sterilized jar and top off with extra virgin olive oil. Let it cool before sealing tightly. Store in the fridge and enjoy for up to 1 week.
