Elevate your dishes with a divine blend of fermented garlic and honey - a versatile condiment for all your favorite foods.
Ingredients:
  • 15 to 20 cloves of garlic (about 2 heads), peeled (see recipe note)
  • 1 1/2 cups raw honey (see recipe note)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
  • Initiate the fermentation process by placing the garlic in a clean pint jar. Optionally, include red pepper flakes. Pour in the honey and mix well. Seal the jar and keep it in a cool, dry place.
  • Give the jar a gentle shake daily for 5 days to ensure the garlic is fully immersed in the honey. As soon as you notice bubbles forming, open the jar daily to release any trapped gas.
  • Let the garlic honey ferment for 5 days, then store in the pantry for up to 6 months. After 3 to 4 weeks, refrigerate the garlic for later use. Enjoy the honey drizzled on pizza, breads, toast, meats, or any dish. Share your feedback below!
