Cozy up with this irresistible warm and gooey cheesy appetizer, perfect for sharing with loved ones on chilly winter nights.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 loaf French bread (8 oz)
  • 1 1/2 oz thinly sliced prosciutto (from 3-oz package), cut crosswise into ¼-inch strips
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package (4 oz) crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened (from 8-oz package)
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 F and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook the prosciutto in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp, for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Lay the bread on a cookie sheet. With a serrated knife, gently carve out a 3-inch wide V-shape along the center of the loaf, leaving a 1/2-inch border at the bottom.
  • Combine prosciutto and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed. Fill hollowed out loaf with cheese mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the cheese is gooey and melted.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
