Make delicious Filipino polvoron candies with butter, sugar, flour, powdered milk, lemon extract, and a special mold.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon extract
Instructions:
  • In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, toast flour, stirring constantly, until light brown, about 5 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before using.
  • Cut twenty 4-inch squares of waxed paper.
  • Combine butter, sugar, powdered milk, and lemon extract with cooled flour until fully mixed. Pack a polvoron mold tightly with a portion of the mixture. Push the plunger to release the candy onto a square of waxed paper. Wrap the candy in the waxed paper, twisting the ends securely. Repeat this process until all of the candy mixture is used.
