Quick and flavorful Middle Eastern dish with endless customizations - ready in 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen™ organic fire roasted diced tomatoes, well drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) Progresso™ chick peas (garbanzo beans), drained, rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 pita (pocket) breads, each cut into 8 wedges
Instructions:
  • Keep aside 2 tablespoons of tomatoes for garnish. In a food processor, combine the rest of the tomatoes and all other ingredients except pita bread. Blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
  • Transfer the hummus to a shallow serving dish. Create a small mound in the center with the reserved tomatoes. Serve with pita bread.
