Quick and easy 5-ingredient fried rice recipe for guaranteed success.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked brown rice
  • 3 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 bag (12 oz) frozen sweet peas
Instructions:
  • In a large covered pot, bring rice and chicken broth to a boil over high heat. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes until the rice has absorbed all the broth.
  • 1. Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. If it's not nonstick, add 2 teaspoons of vegetable or canola oil. 2. Cook the eggs in the wok until they are set but still slightly runny. Transfer them to a bowl, season with salt and pepper to taste, and set aside. 3. In the same wok, cook the sausage, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. If the wok is dry (this should not be the case if you're using full-fat sausage), add 1 tablespoon of oil. 4. Fold in the hot rice, cooked eggs, and frozen peas. Spread everything evenly around the wok and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. 5. Continue cooking for a few more minutes, folding the ingredients together so the peas cook through and everything blends well. 6. Taste the dish and adjust the seasonings as needed. Enjoy!
