Grilled flank steak marinated in savory soy sauce and sweet honey for tender perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (1 1/2-pound) flank steak
Instructions:
  • Combine vegetable oil, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic powder, ginger, and green onion in a bowl. Transfer the marinade to a resealable plastic bag. Add flank steak, ensuring it's evenly coated. Remove any excess air, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Warm up the outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Take the marinated flank steak out, allowing the excess marinade to drip off. Put the marinade into a small saucepan for later use.
  • Grill the flank steak until perfectly cooked and juicy, about 5 minutes per side. Check with a meat thermometer for 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Rest covered in foil for 10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • Once the steak is cooking and resting, simply bring the marinade to a lively boil over medium-high heat. Lower the heat to medium-low and let it gently simmer for 10 minutes. Finally, generously pour the flavorful marinade over the sliced steak right before serving.
