Irresistible crunchy Florentines, a nut-lover's dream.
Ingredients:
  • 85.00 gm sultanas
  • 500.00 ml cornflakes
  • 100g slivered almonds
  • 100g chopped glace cherries
  • 40.00 ml mixed peel
  • 212.85 gm sweetened condensed milk
  • 250g dark chocolate
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and prepare 2 large baking trays by lining them with non-stick baking paper.
  • Mix sultanas, cornflakes, almonds, glace cherries, mixed peel, and sweetened condensed milk together. Spoon mixture onto baking trays, allowing space for spreading. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, then cool on a wire rack.
  • Melt dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Let it cool slightly, then spread on the underside of the florentines. Create wavy lines with a fork, then place them on a wire rack to set with the chocolate side up.
