Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cup flaked coconut
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour, soda, and salt in a bowl. Cream 1/4 cup of butter or margarine until smooth. Gradually mix in the sugar until fluffy. Add corn syrup and egg, blending well.
  • Combine the flour mixture, coconut, and vanilla, then gently spoon halves onto greased baking sheets, ensuring 2 inches between each. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for roughly 10 minutes. After 1 minute of cooling on the baking sheets, transfer to racks to finish cooling. If the wafer hardens, briefly reheat in the oven.
  • Gently melt chocolate and 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over low heat, stirring constantly until velvety. Drizzle the decadent mixture over cookies. Indulge and savor every bite!
