Easy and irresistible gooey bar cookies made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan) and generously grease the bottom of a 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to blend cake mix, oil, peanut butter, and eggs until smooth. Spread the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until a toothpick inserted between the edge and center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely on a rack for about 1 hour.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend butter and marshmallow creme until smooth. Mix in vanilla, then gradually blend in powdered sugar. If needed, add milk to adjust consistency. Spread the frosting on cooled bars, then cut into 16 squares.
