Decadent French mini chocolate cakes, perfect for a romantic evening or Valentine's Day.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, sifted
Instructions:
  • First, preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Then, generously grease 2 ramekins and set them aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, gently melt the chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until smooth and fully combined. Let the velvety mixture cool slightly before using.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and salt. Pour into the chocolate mixture and whisk until well combined. Stir in the flour until fully incorporated. Divide the batter evenly between the two ramekins.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes until just set. Allow to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate.
