Easy customizable omelets for a quick and tasty breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons butter or margarine
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Dash of pepper
Instructions:
  • Whisk the beaten eggs in a small bowl until yolks and whites are thoroughly combined.
  • In an 8-inch skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat until hot and sizzling. Tilt the skillet to evenly coat the bottom with butter as it melts.
  • Pour the eggs into the skillet and swiftly stir with a fork, spreading them evenly as they thicken. Let stand briefly to lightly brown the bottom. Avoid overcooking, as the omelet will keep cooking once folded.
  • Gently loosen the omelet by tilting the skillet and running a spatula or fork under the edge. Add desired filling, if using. Fold the nearest portion of the omelet towards the center, allowing a part to slide up the side of the skillet. Flip the omelet onto a warm plate, ensuring the folded part ends up on the bottom. Season with salt and pepper.
