Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly before incorporating shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Combine egg, vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of water in a small bowl, whisk well. Gradually add it to the flour mixture, stirring with a fork until dough forms a ball. Add an extra tablespoon of water if needed.
  • Chill dough in refrigerator for 10 minutes before rolling.
