Effortless French pear tart: puff pastry layered with creme fraiche, nuts, and pears, then baked to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (17.25 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 (8 ounce) container creme fraiche
  • 0.75 cup mixed nuts
  • 3 pears - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Take the puff pastry sheet out of the package and gently place it in a tart pan, making sure it covers the bottom and sides completely. Trim off any excess pastry hanging over the edges. Use a fork to prick the pastry all over.
  • Combine the creme fraiche, egg, and sugar in a bowl, mixing until smooth. Gently fold in the nut mix.
  • Place the pear slices elegantly on the puff pastry and generously spread with the decadent creme fraiche mixture.
  • Bake the tart in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until the filling turns a light golden color and the pastry is puffed up and golden brown.
