Indulgent no-egg French silk pie with a decadent chocolate filling made from melted chocolate and whipped cream. Amp up the wow factor with extra whipped cream on top!
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons shaved dark chocolate, or to taste
  • 1 (9 inch) baked pie crust
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, blend sugar and cornstarch together until thoroughly mixed. Gradually whisk in milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract into the hot milk until smooth and chips have melted. Transfer to a large mixing bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let cool on the counter to room temperature.
  • In a large bowl, whip 2 cups of whipping cream and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  • Uncover the chilled chocolate mixture and whip until it's creamy. Carefully fold half of the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture. Spoon the mixture into the pie crust and top it with the remaining whipped cream. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until set. Serve and enjoy!
