Nutritious fruit-packed dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 250g strawberries
  • 40.00 gm water
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 1/4 medium pineapple
  • 1 large orange
  • 2 medium bananas
  • 1 passionfruit
  • 8 small scoops of vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
  • Set aside 4 whole strawberries. Remove the stems and cut the remaining strawberries in half lengthwise.
  • In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture boils. Add halved strawberries, cover, and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Puree the cooled strawberry mixture using a hand blender or food processor. Then, transfer the puree to a jug and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.
  • Peel and dice pineapple, orange, and bananas, then transfer to a medium bowl. Mix in passionfruit pulp until well combined.
  • Create beautiful sundaes by layering fruit salad, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry sauce in serving glasses. Top with sliced reserved strawberries and serve.
