Delicious summer tomato pie with layers of onion, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. Baked golden and garnished with fresh herbs. Enjoy hot or cold.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell
  • 7 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 0.75 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.33333334326744 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh oregano
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake the pastry shell until golden brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Layer sliced onion at the base of the pastry shell. Arrange sliced tomatoes on top of the onions and sprinkle with black pepper to your liking.
  • Combine luxurious mozzarella, savory parmesan, and creamy mayonnaise in a bowl, then spread this irresistible mixture evenly over the fresh tomatoes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, usually 20-25 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
