Indulge in quick and tempting golden molten haloumi appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 40g (1/4 cup) plain flour
  • 2 x 250g pkts haloumi, drained, cut crossways into 1cm-thick slices
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh mint
  • 18.20 gm olive oil, extra
Instructions:
  • Spread the flour evenly on a plate. Gently coat the haloumi with the flour, ensuring to shake off any excess.
  • In a large frying pan over high heat, heat the oil until sizzling. Add half of the haloumi slices and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until beautifully golden. Transfer to a serving platter and repeat with the remaining haloumi slices.
  • Top the haloumi with fresh mint for a burst of flavor, then generously drizzle with extra oil. Serve promptly with lemon wedges on the side, for an added zesty touch, if desired.
