Pan-fried haloumi with lemon, garlic & thyme

Elevate family gatherings with stylish Haloumi starter.
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 180g pkts haloumi, drained
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • Zest from 1 lemon (see Note)
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 6 sprigs fresh thyme
  • Coles Bakery Stone Baked White Sourdough Baguette, to serve
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Cut the haloumi in half lengthwise, then into 3 rectangles.
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil and cook the lemon zest, garlic, and thyme, stirring constantly for 2 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  • Place the haloumi in the pan and sear for 2 minutes on each side until it turns golden. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice, then transfer to a large plate. Season with a sprinkle of pepper and serve right away with sliced bread and lemon wedges.
