"Get ready to blend up the trendiest drink of the year - frosé!"
Ingredients:
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 250g strawberries, hulled, chopped
  • 750ml bottle rosé wine
  • 82.50 ml strawberry liqueur
  • 250.00 ml chilled soda water
  • Extra halved strawberries, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar in 1 cup of water, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Lower heat to a simmer without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  • Combine strawberries in a blender until smooth, adding 1 tablespoon water if necessary. Strain the mixture into a large jug, then mix in sugar syrup and wine. Transfer the mixture to a 2-litre (8-cup) metal container and freeze overnight.
  • Take the container out of the freezer and use a fork to generously flake the mixture to create big ice crystals.
  • In a jug, mix the liqueur and soda water together. Pour the mixture evenly into serving glasses. Finish off with frosé and extra strawberries on top. Serve right away.
