Classic drop cookie loved by all, topped with grandma's Chocolate Frosting. Get the recipe on CookieRecipe.com!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease the cookie sheets.
  • Combine and sift flour, baking soda, and salt together for a smooth and well-blended mixture.
  • Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over low heat until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, and egg until creamy. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture until well blended. Add melted chocolate, sour cream, and vanilla, mixing thoroughly. Stir in nuts.
  • Spoon cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool on wire racks. Enjoy soft, half dollar-sized cookies.
  • Once the dish has cooled, generously spread the luscious Chocolate Frosting over the top.
