Baked berry crisp with spiced oat topping.
Ingredients:
  • 5.5 cups mixed frozen berries
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats
Instructions:
  • Lightly toss together fresh berries, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, blend brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract until creamy. Add flour and cinnamon, then gently fold in oats until combined. Refrigerate topping for 15 minutes before using.
  • Heat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Spread the berries evenly in a 9x9-inch baking pan and top them with the chilled topping, gently pressing down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour until golden brown.
