Create delectable frozen chocolate-covered bananas by coating ripe banana slices in dark chocolate and freezing. Delight in a delightful flavor and texture experience with this simple and quick treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons canola oil
  • Flakey salt, sprinkles, nuts, or shredded coconut for topping, optional
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pan: Line a quarter sheet pan with parchment paper. Fill a double boiler or small saucepan with 2 inches of water and heat over medium heat until simmering. Reduce heat to low once simmering.
  • Prepare the bananas and chocolate: Peel the bananas, slice them into 1/2-inch slices, then space them evenly on a sheet pan. Chop the chocolate finely after wiping down the knife and cutting board.
  • Create a double boiler by placing a heatproof glass or metal bowl snugly over a pot of simmering water, then add chopped chocolate and canola oil. Stir with a spatula until melted and smooth, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, dry the bottom of the bowl, and proceed with your recipe.
  • Dip banana slices in melted chocolate using a fork. Ensure each slice is fully coated. Place on parchment paper-lined tray. Add optional toppings before chocolate sets.
  • Chill: Place the sheet pan in the freezer and chill for 2 hours. Enjoy right away or store the chocolate-coated bananas in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Show your love by leaving a rating below!
